Customer Spotlight: OEKO-TEX®

OEKO-TEX® and Texbase

The OEKO-TEX® CertLink Project is a collaboration with OEKO-TEX® that allows their customers to link either products or materials that they create to their OEKO-TEX® Certificates (STANDARD 100, LEATHER STANDARD, or MADE IN GREEN). This makes it easier for brands and retailers to confirm the certifications for the specific materials they’re using in lieu of additional testing and allows retailers to display product-level certificate badges at the point of sale.

For Finished Products

OEKO-TEX® CertLink enables OEKO-TEX® customers to identify the finished products they manufacture and link them to their OEKO-TEX® certificates. This data is stored and managed in Texbase which is then available to retailers and e-commerce sites that display OEKO-TEX® certificate information to their customers, thereby allowing them to shop more sustainably.

For Raw Materials

OEKO-TEX® CertLink allows OEKO-TEX® customers to link the fabrics, trims or leather they produce to their OEKO-TEX® certificates. This data is stored and managed in Texbase which is then available to brands and retailers through the OEKO-TEX® Global Library. The OEKO-TEX® Global Library is a free resource that allows companies to search and find new materials to use while confirming the certificate information of the materials they are currently using in their finished products. This prevents brands and retailers from having to do their own sustainability testing.
